MATERIALS USED
Depending on the area of implementation, and on the client requirements, the installation of different materials is possible.
ON ROOFING: The material used is 8 mm thick cellular colourless and translucent polycarbonate. It has a good capacity to retain the inside temperature, presents excellent performance against hail and distortion of the outside image.
ON SIDES AND FACADES the material used may be:
- Compact acrylic, 4 mm thick colourless and transparent. Allows perfect outside vision and has a good resistance to breakage without chipping, thus preventing risk of accidents.
- Safety laminated glass, 3+3 mm, colourless and transparent.
- Optionally, it is possible to use other types of materials (acrylic for tanning, compact polycarbonate, sandwich panel, etc.).
AIR TIGHTNESS
For an inside temperature with minimum loss, MAPERGLAS has designed E.P.D.M. rubber strip (no felt or brush), of a suitable size adapted to the requirements of each space to be covered (overlapping between retractable elements, perimeter of the floor, tilting façade, etc.) ensuring air tightness of 97% of the exchange surface.
For the manufacturing of the strips, MAPERGLAS has chosen synthetic rubber, of a special make up so they can be exposed to the sun, extreme temperature and environment, with a high content of suspended chlorine.
